Anti-Trump ‘Whistleblower’ Cassidy Hutchinson Worked for Him Months after Jan. 6

'I would rather shoot myself dead into the Potomac than see marine one [sic] flying around this city without 45 again...'

(Headline USA) Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who testified against former President Donald Trump for the Democrats’ Jan. 6 congressional committee, continued to work for the president nine weeks after the 2021 uprising at the U.S. Capitol, according to a report.

Hutchinson alleged during her congressional testimony that she lost confidence in Trump after Jan. 6 and claimed the event was traumatizing for her. She said Trump’s tweet attacking former Vice President Mike Pence that day “disgusted” her.

“It was unpatriotic and un-American, and we were watching the Capitol building get defaced over a lie,” she said. “I still struggle to work through the emotions of that.”

Yet, the left-leaning Business Insider revealed this week that Hutchinson continued to work for Trump until April 1, 2021, for an annualized salary of $90,000.

An earlier report from The Federalist revealed that, in private text messages, Hutchinson expressed her support for Trump long after the Jan. 6 uprising and even mocked the partisan Jan. 6 committee as a joke.

“I would rather shoot myself dead into the Potomac than see marine one [sic] flying around this city without 45 again,” Hutchinson wrote in one message nearly three months after the Capitol protests, referring to Trump.

In another exchange with a former colleague, Hutchinson insisted that the Jan. 6 panel was a “phony committee” and said she would have nothing to offer them if they subpoenaed her.

“Other than a handful of irrelevant texts, I have literally no documents or anything they’re asking about,” her colleague said.

“Same,” she wrote back.

Trump has blasted Hutchinson as a disgruntled employee whom he didn’t know.

“I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and ‘leaker’), and when she requested to go with certain others of the team to Florida after my having served a full term in office, I personally turned her request down,” Trump wrote on his social media website Truth Social.

“Why did she want to go with us if she felt we were so terrible? I understand that she was very upset and angry that I didn’t want her to go, or be a member of the team,” the former president alleged. “She is bad news!”
