(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) A far-left radical from Chicago has been apprehended and is facing federal charges after sending threatening emails to shoot former President Donald Trump and his son Barron.
Tracy Fiorenza, 41, directed the alarming threats specifically pledging to shoot both Trump and Barron “straight in the face,” as revealed by authorities on Monday.
Fiorenza’s actions came to light following the discovery of two menacing emails that she had unleashed to the headmaster of Barron’s school in Palm Beach County, Florida.
As reported by the New York Post, the 41-year-old woman sent the two emails in May and June, igniting a federal investigation.
The criminal complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, detailed the disturbing nature of her threats.
On May 21, Fiorenza claimed she would shoot both Trump and his 17-year-old son. Specifically, she allegedly said, “I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!”
The unhinged woman then issued a second email, dated June 5, wherein she voiced her commitment to “slam a bullet” into the former first son’s head.
According to the U.S. Secret Service, federal law enforcement approached Fiorenza for a meeting during which she admitted to the alleged emails, triggering an arrest.
Fiorenza was charged with transmitting threats or injure a person in interstate commerce, reported the Post. Prosecutors have requested her continued detention until she can be transferred to Florida for a criminal hearing.
The 41-year-old woman could face up to five years in prison if found guilty.
The alleged threats against Barron come amid a disturbing report that shows that there is a rise in approval for political violence among political groups in the U.S.
Notably, the June report found that Democrats support violence more than Republicans and Independents, with a nine percent increase when compared to January 2023.
