Unhinged, Race-Baiting Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Announces Bid for Houston Mayor

'I hope I've been a humble servant for you for 28 years... '

(Corine GattiHeadline USA) Race-baiting Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, is far from being finished with politics. The unyielding crusader of leftist ideology is now running for mayor of Houston this November.

“I hope I’ve been a humble servant for you for 28 years. Many of you are in my district,” the longtime congresswoman said, according to a video of her remarks shared on Monday by Urban Reform, a Houston online magazine.

“Sheila Jackson Lee wants to come home to be your mayor for the city of Houston. I will not be able to do it without each and every one of you,” she told the congregation at City Cathedral Church on Sunday.

Jackson, 73, has a history of racial radicalism. She recently introduced the Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023, “to prevent and prosecute white supremacy inspired hate crime and conspiracy to commit white supremacy inspired hate crime.”

The bill could make political criticism of non-white individuals by white people a federal crime. And it’s also an egregious breach of the First Amendment. For some Democrats, Jackson Lee’s bill was seen as a way of getting their message across to the GOP-controlled chamber.

Jackson Lee also said reparations for African Americans could have cut COVID-19 transmission and infection rates both among blacks and the population at-large — a supporter of the reintroduction of legislation that would set up a commission to explore whether reparations and a national apology are necessary.

“Reparations are curative, they’re not punishment,” she said. “The analysis continued to look at data throughout the nation.”

Unless Jackson wins her gubernatorial bid, she will not have to give up her congressional seat. The election is on Nov. 7.
