U.S. Gov. Pays Military Contractors to Transport, Hold Trafficked Kids

'The United States is a source, transit and destination country for men, women, transgender individuals and children – both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals – subjected to sex trafficking and forced labor...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) It was revealed that U.S. government contractors helped to traffic thousands of foreign children into the country every month, with 85,000 of these kids missing.

The children were being kidnapped from Central and South America, the Florida Standard reported. The kids were lured to the United States by advertisements that promised them a better life in America. In other cases, their own families were selling them to human traffickers, or the kids were kidnapped off the streets.

Children were being funneled into the U.S. interior by human trafficking rings, a 2016 congressional report said.

“The United States is a source, transit and destination country for men, women, transgender individuals and children – both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals – subjected to sex trafficking and forced labor,” according to the report.

The Department of Homeland Security’s [DHS] Office of Inspector General Joseph V. Cuffari admitted last month that “DHS may unknowingly release migrants, including children, to potentially unsafe conditions or smuggling operations.”

In March, Florida’s Statewide Grand Jury released a report that found the Office of Refugee Resettlement [ORR] was “facilitating the forced migration, sale and abuse of foreign children,” even though the ORR was created in 1980 under the Department of Health and Human Services to support refugees in the U.S., including victims of human trafficking and unaccompanied alien children, according to the Florida Standard.

“The process exposes children to horrifying health conditions, constant criminal threat, labor and sex trafficking,” the Grand Jury’s report said.

It was also discovered by Muckraker that the cartels tagged children with wristbands to indicate that they were clear to enter the U.S. The children were then passed off to single adults so that they would be able to enter the country disguised as a family.

Before a sponsor — many of whom happened to be illegal immigrants themselves — chooses a child, the kids were being held in top-secret compounds, which are highly secure and resemble prisons or concentration camps with double fencing and guard towers, as it was shown on the photos of these compounds by Muckraker.

The children were escorted by government contractors and NGOs from holding facilities to the sponsor in the United States, as soon as the sponsor was identified by the ORR.

It was revealed that these contractors were Southwest Key and MVM, a private security contractor founded by three former Secret Service agents. The National Security Agency and CIA also contracted MVM to provide armed security in Iraq.

In 2021, MVM was granted $369.5 million to provide necessary staffing and resources to arrange travel and escort for unaccompanied children in ORR custody.
