(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) The radical leftist stock of candidates for Democrats facing the potential of a red wave midterm was exposed by a pair of their primary winners Tuesday in Florida and New York.
Former Republican now Rep. Charlie Christ, D-Fla., won Florida’s Democrat primary for governor and moved on to face popular incumbent Republican Ron DeSantis, while partisan impeachment hack, J6 inquisitor and Antifa-denier Rep. Jerry Nadler beat equally-leftist incumbent Rep. Carolyn Maloney in the primary for New York’s redrawn 12th Congressional District.
Nadler is a staunch defender of killing unborn babies and confiscating guns from law-abiding citizens. He promised to continue those efforts, as well as promoting radical green energy schemes, if he’s reelected to the Democrat-heavy district.
“His leadership has been essential to advancing many of our key priorities,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, reported The Hill.
In Florida, Rep. Crist’s sordid history of political expediency and partisan hackery weaves through flip-flops and broken promises. Crist was a Republican when he served as the state’s governor from 2007 to 2011, then cast his lot with Democrats and lost a gubernatorial bid in 2014 to incumbent Republican Rick Scott.
Crist defeated Florida’s leftist Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, running on promises to embrace illegal aliens, protect abortionists and subvert election integrity.
“We’re going to go up against the biggest threat to democracy we’ve seen since Trump: Ron DeSantis,” Crist ranted in an election night tweet.
The Republican Governor’s Association slammed Crist for supporting the misguided policies of the Biden regime that have been bad for America and bad for Florida.
“Charlie Crist has stood in lockstep with Joe Biden as he played nice with dictators in Cuba and Venezuela and his failed economic policies raised taxes and increased the cost of living across every sector of the economy,” RGA Executive Director Dave Rexrode said in a statement.
“We’re confident he’ll be rejected for a third time this November, and we look forward to Governor DeSantis’ decisive re-election.”
