Trump Spikes Ball on J6 Inquisitors’ Dropped Subpoena

'Perhaps the FBI’s involvement in RIGGING the Election played into their decision... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) After a J6 Tribunal TV miniseries drew dismal ratings and produced a star witness who was revealed as a habitual liar, and the January 6th committee’s vaunted final report fell flat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Inquisition on Wednesday trash-canned its subpoena of former President Donald Trump.

“In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena,” Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., wrote in a letter to Trump’s attorney.

“Therefore, through this letter, I hereby formally withdraw the subpoena issued to former President Trump, and notify you that he is no longer obligated to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena,” Thompson added.

The committee, which last week referred Trump to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution, will almost assuredly dissolve into dissolution and irrelevance when Republicans retake majority control of the U.S. House next week.

Trump, who was served in October but never testified before the committee, was equal parts defiant and celebratory in his response to news that the J6 subpoena had been withdrawn.

“Was just advised that the Unselect Committee of political Thugs has withdrawn the Subpoena of me concerning the January 6th Protest of the CROOKED 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“They probably did so because they knew I did nothing wrong, or they were about to lose in Court. Perhaps the FBI’s involvement in RIGGING the Election played into their decision. In any event, the Subpoena is DEAD!”

Trump attorney Harmeet Dhilon said the committee “waved the white flag” when it withdrew what she called its “illegitimate subpoena”.

The “J6 committee wasted millions for a purely political witch-hunt, total abuse of process & power serving no legitimate legislative purpose,” wrote Dhilon, who is thought by many to be a formidable challenger to Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel to lead the Republican National Committee.
