Trump Boots Jenna Ellis from Legal Defense PAC after Backing DeSantis

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Former President Donald Trump has reportedly excluded Jenna Ellis, once a staunch ally and legal counsel, from his legal defense fund following charges filed against her by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Ellis, who served as a key attorney for the Trump campaign during the 2020 elections, now finds herself facing charges related to alleged efforts to challenge the Georgia election results.

The charges implicated Trump and 18 others in a case centered around their alleged attempts to influence the election outcome by demanding Georgia officials properly investigate allegations of voter irregularities.

While Ellis initially stood by the former president, she has since voiced criticism and condemnation of his actions, a move that appears to have led to her exclusion from Trump’s legal support network.

Ellis responded to the indictment by accusing the Democrat Party of criminalizing practicing law. “I am resolved to trust the Lord and I will simply continue to honor, praise, and serve Him,” Ellis said. “I deeply appreciate all of my friends who have reached out offering encouragement and support.”

Political commentator John Cardillo broke the news of Ellis’s exclusion, claiming that Trump’s PAC, Save America, would not be providing any financial assistance for her legal fees.

“Just found out from very solid sources that Trump’s PAC won’t assist @JennaEllisEsq with one penny of legal fees because she has been complimentary and supportive of DeSantis,” Cardillo said on Tuesday.

Ellis’s ousting from the Trump-led PAC triggered Ellis to launch a legal fundraiser. A statement from her attorney, Mike Melito, read, “We will fight for Jenna. If you would like to help support our efforts please consider donating by clicking the link below.”

This episode has sparked a broader conversation about campaigns ahead of the 2024 presidential election, with some prominent Trump supporters defending the decision to leave her out from the legal fund, citing her opposition to Trump’s third White House bid.

In a recent statement, Ellis expressed her dissatisfaction with how Trump and his allies were conducting their campaigns and accused them of spreading falsehoods.

Ellis, along with Trump and the 17 other defendants will have to surrender to Georgia law enforcement in a matter of 10 days, as decreed by the Soros-backed DA pursuing the case.
