(John Ransom, Headline USA) Former President Donald Trump fired off a salvo at Thomas Leonard, a former speaker of the Michigan House who is running in the GOP primary for the state’s attorney general’s office, in a letter to Michigan Republican primary delegates.
“Tom Leonard represents the loser mentality of all the RINOs who did nothing about the massive voter fraud and Democrat cheating in 2020. Leonard has been part of the establishment for 20 years,” Trump wrote.
I am the ONLY Republican who can beat Dana Nessel in November. Thank you President Trump for the kind words! https://t.co/9pCPoGeIC0

Instead, Trump urged Michigan delegates to support Leonard’s rival for the nomination, Matthew DePerno, who has fought both Leonard and current Michigan AG, Democrat Dana Nessel, to prove charges of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election in Michigan.
“We have the proof that voting machines used in the 2020 elections can be compromised and votes easily transferred from one candidate to another,” DePerno’s website said, according to MLive.com.
“We can flip votes at the tabulator/precinct level,” the website states. “We can flip votes at the county level. The American people are losing their voice for the future of our democracy. We must fight together for free and fair elections.”
Leonard dismissed the Trump charges, and said that the letter smacks of desperation because he is so far in front of DePerno.
“They know who I am, and they know the truth,” Leonard said of delegates, reported the Detroit News.
“That is why we are so far out in the lead and the DePerno campaign is getting desperate. I’m focused on uniting this party, holding Dana Nessel accountable for her record and winning in November.”
DePerno successfully showed that Antrim County had incorrectly posted unofficial results that showed Biden winning the county in 2020, said the Detroit News. In fact, Trump had won but officials had counted incorrectly.
“He is the fighter we all need to take Michigan back from Democrats, having led the charge in calling out the obvious voter fraud in the 2020 election when nobody else would,” Trump said about DePerno in the letter to Michigan delegates.
