Trump-Bashing Books Bomb w/ Sales, Public Interest

(Chris Parker, Headline USA) Books published by former Trump aids critical of his presidency have flopped in sales despite heavy buzz from a leftist media, in a rejection similar to what the public has given the J6 Tribunal TV disinfommercials.

Some of the books have performed so poorly that their publishers are expected to report a loss. Several authors were issued considerable advances for the work. The cumulative total reached the millions, reported Politico.

In fact, the cumulative total of all book sales from nearly a dozen authors barely exceeded 1 million. By contrast, Peter Navarro‘s In Trump Time managed to sell 80,218 copies – more than any of the books published by former aids who became critics. Navarro remained a faithful supporter of Trump.

Only John Bolton, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, and James Comey, former FBI director, managed to earn a significant number of sales – largely during the contentious 2020 election season.

Publishing executives have claimed that sales have performed poorly since Trump is no longer in the White House.

“Each of the people who have written a book so far was telling stories that we pretty much already knew,” said one top publisher.

But with Trump considering a 2024 run, it seems unlikely that his tenure would be considered irrelevant. And with the mainstream media promoting the works of his detractors, there certainly wasn’t a lack of awareness.

However, there could be another explanation. Growing evidence shows that the American people believe that overtly leftist corporations and media outlets are out of touch with them — and reality.

Polls show that woke corporate executives are clearly out of touch.

“An overwhelming 74 percent of business executives think corporate activism is effective, compared with just 39 percent of voters,” according to the Western Journal.

The media acknowledges a disconnect, but largely blames it on Trump. After all, 58% of Americans believe the media doesn’t understand them, although that trend began long before Trump took office.
