‘Total Mayhem’: Biden Border Chaos Ensues as Title 42 Ends

'This will mean complete and total mayhem and utter lawlessness...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) The Biden administration is ordering Customs and Border Patrol facilities to release illegal immigrants into the United States as a response to the border chaos and influx of crossings stemming from the end of Title 42.

The Trump-era policy allowed border agents to swiftly remove unlawful migrants from the U.S. on grounds of the COVID-19 emergency. This policy successfully deterred certain migrants from attempting to enter the country, as they believed they would not be granted entry. However, as the policy is scheduled to expire on May 11, a surge of migrants is now converging at the border.

Trump took to Truth Social to slam the Biden administration for overhauling his immigration policies that effectively secured the southern border.

“Joe Biden is preparing to remove the last remnants of my Title 42 policy just a few weeks from now wiping out the few remaining shreds of our southern border. Hundreds of thousands of people will pour in that day and the judge already said that’s what’s going to happen,” the former president said in a video.

“This will mean complete and total mayhem and utter lawlessness and unlimited numbers of fraudulent asylum seekers flooding into the United States unchecked. They are unchecked. Nobody has any idea where they come from,” Trump continued.

“We’re already breaking and we haven’t hit the starting line,” a DHS official told NBC News in reaction to a memo ordering the facilities to release the apprehended migrants.

Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas held a press conference from the White House on Thursday, where he warned potential immigrants from entering the U.S. claiming the border was not open.

Mayorkas’s claims, however, are directly contradicted by a memo obtained by the Daily Caller that mandated facilities that reached 125% capacity to swiftly release the undocumented immigrants. Border Patrol reported that 28,000 migrants are currently under DHS detention, the New York Post reported Thursday.

The embattled Homeland secretary, currently facing impeachment threats, has recently received intense scrutiny from House Republicans, who accuse him of neglecting the southern border and not preparing for Title 42’s end.

In defiance of the Biden administration’s open border policies, the Republican-led House of Representatives passed the “Secure the Border Act,” which would order DHS to rebuild the border wall started by Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump. Under the legislation, border agents would be equipped with better technology and incentives to increase morale among them.

Biden has vowed to veto the bill if it reaches his desk.
