(John Ransom, Headline USA) As Ukraine catches fire under the attack of Russian rockets, CBS News has a much bigger worry about the crucified country, according to their Twitter account.
“Transgender acceptance in Ukraine is not widespread, and changing legal documents to match gender requires a long process with psychiatric examinations,” said CBS News via Twitter.
“CBS News spoke with one woman in Kyiv who is now battling a “war within a war” amid Russia’s invasion,” CBS said.
The tweet prompted one Twitter user to write sarcastically: “This half-destroyed government building has no gender-neutral bathrooms!” even as the CBS video showed bombed out buildings in Kyiv.

Apparently CBS just got the memo that there are a lot of victims in war.
“Many people have guns and weapons. … It can be an excuse for violence,” said Zi Faámelu, a trans woman, according to CBS. “…This is a very scary situation.”
Of course, the solution is for people who are fighting for the right to be treated like everyone else, is to do as other people are doing, said one Twitter user.
“I guess that [if] she picks up a gun and shoots a russian invader she could become much more accepted very quickly. It would be good propoganda, something like : ‘even out men who want to be women kick your ass, pathetic Russia,’” said the commenter.
The CBS article complained about all the rights that trans people don’t have in Ukraine, while saying that it will be even worse under Russia, apparently unaware of the irony.
“In Russia, LGBTQ people are persecuted,” Iulia, an 18-year-law student in Kharkiv, told CBS News’ Haley Ott.
“If we imagine that Russia occupies all of the Ukraine or just a big part of the country, they won’t allow us to exist peacefully and to fight for our rights as we are able to do that in Ukraine right now.”
Yes, so the best thing probably is to complain about it.
