(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Although Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and her Squad of malevolent harpies are happy to sacrifice their anti-war bona fides by voting for $40 billion in American military aid to Ukraine, they just can’t quit anti-Semitism.
Tlaib introduced a resolution Monday demanding that the United States Congress denounce the formation of of a “Jewish state” and use the term “nakba” — “catastrophe” in English — to refer to its founding, reported Fox News.
According to Tlaib, the “Nakba” makes reference to “the mass expulsion of Palestinian Arabs from British Mandate Palestine during Israel’s creation,” a work of “ethnic cleansing” that is “ongoing” today.
“The Israeli apartheid government’s ongoing ethnic cleansing seeks to degrade Palestinian humanity and break the will of the people to be free,” Tlaib said in a press release.
In a reference to her immigrant origin, Tlaib suggested that “as Palestinians and their allies prove time and time again, we will persist no matter the circumstances.”
Tlaib’s resolution calls on the United States government to:
- officially recognize, commemorate, and propagandize on behalf of the Palestinian understanding of “the Nakba”
- send billions in aid to Palestinian “refugees”
- officially recognize Palestianian “refugee rights”
Tlaib took to Twitter to announce her resolution.
“The Palestinian people since the 48 Nakba have been living under oppression and violent racism,” Tlaib wrote on Twitter. “Silence + blank checks enables more death and violence.”
On this day, we must promote human rights & justice. The Palestinian people since the 48 Nakba have been living under oppression and violent racism. Silence + blank checks enables more death and violence.

Tlaib was supported by fellow Squad members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., among others.
In response to Tlaib’s resolution, Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., accused the congresswoman of anti-Semitism.
“Israel is our great ally & the continued anti-Semitism from radical socialists in the House is horrific,” Scott wrote.
Scott also called on Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to denounce the Squad.
“These are @SpeakerPelosi’s Democrat members,” he wrote. “Does she agree with them? If not, she must immediately condemn this.”
