(Headline USA) A website called The Patriot United has been discovered illegally poaching Headline USA’s content without permission in violation of copyright laws.
The site, which releases a newsletter as well, appears to be profiting via advertisements even though it generates no original content of its own and exclusively steals content via Headline USA’s RSS feed.
Headline USA Editor Ben Sellers has reached out via the website’s only known contact to advise them of the violation of the copyright, which is listed at the bottom of each Headline USA article.
While Headline USA generally welcomes the dissemination of its content under certain conditions—including the request for permission and the retention of embedded links included in the article, The Patriot United has complied with neither of those conditions.
Should the site continue, it is possible that it may be subject to legal action and held financially liable.
Investors on the site would be advised to cut their ties immediately.
