Suck-Up Dorsey Claims Musk Buyout Is the Only Way to Save Twitter

'Taking it back from Wall Street is the correct first step... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Woke Twitter founder Jack Dorsey claimed that he is happy about his old company being bought by Tesla founder Elon Musk.

While there are reasons to doubt that Dorsey finds Musk’s purchase of the company truly good, he began a Twitter thread by noting that his company is essential to globalizing political life, the Daily Wire reported.

“I love Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” Dorsey wrote.

Though Dorsey expressed his wish that Twitter be owned by the people and not private parties, he said that removing Wall Street’s influence over the social media app would be a good start.

“The idea and service is all that matters to me, and I will do whatever it takes to protect both. Twitter as a company has always been my sole issue and my biggest regret,” he said.

“It has been owned by Wall Street and the ad model. Taking it back from Wall Street is the correct first step.”

Musk–who has come to be seen as a sort of right-wing oligarch–has laid out a clear vision for the direction of the app, beginning by making moderation of conservatives less restrictive.

Dorsey concluded his statement by suggesting that, in his opinion, Musk is the man for the job.

“In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company,” he said. “Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness.”

“This is the right path…I believe it with all my heart,” Dorsey said.
