R.I. State Sen. Twerks for Votes on TikTok

'This is a very typical misunderstanding of what joy and self-expression looks like...'

Editor’s note: Video contains graphic, sexually suggestive content unsuitable for children.

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Democrat senator for the Rhode Island state legislature released a TikTok video of herself “twerking” in order to gain votes in the upcoming midterms, Headline Health reported.

The sexually suggestive move, popularized by hip-hop dance culture, involves gyrating the buttocks—a feat that state Sen. Tiara Mack, 28, performed while upside-down.

She posted a video of herself at a beach doing a handstand while twerking on July 4. The caption for it read, “a promised senator thirst trap at Block Island 😈.”

Although Merriam–Webster’s definition of a “thirst trap” does little justice to its vulgar connotations, Urban Dictionary defines it as “[a] sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to publicly profess their attraction.”

The site further explains that any genuine or sincere romantic fulfillment is likely to prove elusive: “This is done not to actually respond or satisfy any of this attraction, but to feed the posters [sic] ego or need for attention, at the expense of the time, reputation and sexual frustration of those who view the image or reply.”

In Mack’s case, it also appears to be a desperate ploy to garner new supporters for her political campaign.

At the end of the video she shouts: “Vote Senator Mack!” into the camera.

The twerking senator is routinely praised by the leftist media for her diverse traits—being both black and a lesbian, as well as a radical progressive.

However, conservative critics sought to link her “dance” with the explosion of groomer culture that has seeped into public-school classrooms, children’s entertainment and other frightening arenas. The Chinese social-media and espionage platform TikTok, where she originally posted it, is known to have a large underage audience.

“This is Senator Tiara Mack. She argued hard to bring Anything Goes Sex Ed to your 11 year old” wrote @LaurieinRI on Twitter, reposting the video.

In response to the criticism Mack tried to paint conservatives as prudes because they did not approve of her twerking.

“Twerking upside down really makes the conservative, unhinged internet accounts pop off on a Monday,” she tweeted.

Mack also noted her credentials, suggesting that anyone who found her sexual display unpleasant is actually a racist and a sexist because she has elite status.

“I have an Ivy League degree, and I’m a sitting state senator,” she said. “It’s not about what I’m wearing, it’s not about what I’m doing. They don’t respect me regardless.”

Mack later suggested that her attempt at self-expression was simply misunderstood.

“This is a very typical misunderstanding of what joy and self-expression looks like.”

According to the Libs of TikTok, who researched Mack’s platform, she has made a career out of promoting sexual degeneracy among children, especially in schools.

One of her proposed bills asserts that the state ought to “affirmatively recognize pleasure based sexual relations, different sexual orientations and be inclusive of same-sex relationships” among young children.
