Soros Son Frets that 2024 MAGA Victory Would Be Worse for Europe than U.S.

'Such an outcome will imperil European unity and undermine the progress achieved on many fronts in response to the war in Ukraine... '

(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) The son of far-left billionaire George Soros has lamented the possibility of a victory by Team MAGA in the 2024 election.

Earlier this year, the elder Soros, 93, officially turned the reins over to scion Alex, who now chairs of the Open Society Foundations, an activist network that has spent millions to de-stabilize countries on both sides of the Atlantic with a radical open-borders, pro-crime agenda.

In an Op-Ed for Politico, Alex Soros, 37, apparently a chip off the old socialist block and reportedly a frequent visitor at the Biden White House, addressed the ramifications of a Donald Trump win in 2024, as he sees it.

“As someone who spends up to half their time working on the Continent and thinks former United States President Donald Trump — or at least someone with his isolationist and anti-European policies — will be the Republican nominee, I believe a MAGA-style Republican victory in next year’s U.S. presidential election could, in the end, be worse for the EU than for the U.S.”

Soros added that “Such an outcome will imperil European unity and undermine the progress achieved on many fronts in response to the war in Ukraine.”

The implication perhaps seems to be that Soros-funded entities will continue to spend lavishly to help Democrats in 2024 and defeat Trump and other Republicans. And perhaps shifting resources out of Europe to do so.

Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly recently hosted several big-name Democrat mega-donors, including Alex Soros, at her private residence.

Soros presumably is concerned that if Trump returns to the Oval Office, he will put America — rather than globalism — first.

Even as the populist movement across Europe has become disillusioned with the heavy-handed European Union bureaucracy, which was reflected in the U.K. Brexit vote, “pro-Democracy” Alex Soros insisted that “Like my father, I regard the EU as one of modern history’s great triumphs.”

It’s worth noting that while in office, Trump was the only president in recent memory to, for example, demand that the European nations pay their fair share for NATO rather than expecting the U.S. to do all the heavy lifting. And in 2018, Trump wisely warned Germany about becoming too dependent on Russian energy.

The former president has also vowed to end the death and destruction in Ukraine with an immediate peace initiative, a development that likely would encounter opposition from the pro-war contingent among the globalist elites that includes the Biden cabal.

In the same editorial in which he bemoaned a potential second Trump presidency, Alex Soros denied earlier reports that his organization was “retreating” from Europe.

Instead, he claimed that OSF was “retooling,” “reconfiguring” and “shifting priorities in Europe” in a strategy includes supporting foundations in Ukraine, Moldova, the Western Balkans, in advocating for NATO expansion in the Balkans, and backing an educational center that relocated from Hungary to Vienna.

Unfortunately and tragically, it was circumstances revolving around NATO expansion that apparently played a major role in igniting the war between Russia and Ukraine that resulted in Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade.
