Snickers Apologizes for Referring to Taiwan as a Country

'We are aware of reports on Snickers-related activities in certain regions of Asia, take this very seriously and express our deep apologies... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) American candy corporation Mars Wrigley, the maker of the Snickers bar, has bent the knee to the Chinese Communist Party, apologizing for recognizing Taiwan as an independent country in an advertisement, Headline Health reported.

The ad in question featured a South Korean boy band, BTS, and in the ad Taiwan is mentioned as a real nation.

Soon thereafter the international corporation begged the CCP for forgiveness.

“We are aware of reports on Snickers-related activities in certain regions of Asia, take this very seriously and express our deep apologies,” said a Mars Wrigley statement posted Friday on Snickers China’s Weibo page.

The corporation had apparently asked the Chinese Snickers “team” to make the relevant changes to its social media posts in order “to ensure the company’s publicity content is accurate.”

“Mars Wrigley respects China’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and conducts business operations in strict compliance with local Chinese laws and regulations,” the statement concluded.

Not yet feeling woke enough, Snickers released an additional statement regarding Taiwan, proclaiming China’s sovereignty in the South Pacific.

“There is only one China in this world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory.”

Americans quickly called for a boycott of the woke corporation.

“When you feed an alligator hoping to appease it, in the end, it always eats you,” one Twitter user wrote, alluding to the woke corporate attempts to appease the CCP.

Others mocked the corporation for obeying its foreign political overlords to secure maximal profits.

“Very smart to obey your Beijing master,” another user wrote. “Money trumps everything.”

Of course, none of this should come as a surprise. Mars Wrigley is the very same corporation that cancelled “Uncle Ben’s” rice in the midst of the summer of 2020’s race riots.
