Second Illegal Alien Charged with Raping Teen in Alabama

'This is absolutely horrific and devastating—and a direct repercussion of Biden’s open-border policies...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Alabama authorities have arrested an illegal alien in connection with the rape of a teenager. The incident, which occurred last week, is the second time an undocumented migrant is accused of molesting a teenage girl in the span of two weeks.

Grevi Geovani Rivera-Zavala, a 29-year-old Honduran national, is charged with first-degree rape after being released by Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, Breitbart reported on May 16.

Rivera-Zavala held the girl hostage in the women’s restroom of a restaurant in Prattville, Alabama. WFSA 12 News reported that the illegal alien held the frightened girl down before proceeding to rape her.

Authorities condemned the attack, with District Attorney CJ Robinson saying, “This rape never should have happened.”

The 29-year-old assailant, who allegedly has a hefty criminal record in his home country, was detained at the southern border in 2021 under a different name but was later released by immigration authorities.

Robinson slammed the federal government for letting Rivera-Zavala run freely in the U.S.

“We’re not interested in negotiating with the feds,” Robinson said, saying the alleged rapist will be held in state custody

“They can take custody of his body when [Department of Corrections] is done with him. We aren’t going to negotiate for a lesser charge so the feds can deport him,” Robinson continued.

The judge in charge of the case denied Rivera-Zavala’s bond because of a potential flight risk and imminent threat to the local community.

This arrest comes just days after another illegal alien was detained for a similar heinous assault on a different teen in Maryland. 20-year-old Jose Roberto Hernandez-Espinal, an illegal alien from El Salvador, approached two girls who were enjoying lunch on a Maryland park with a machete, later stealing their belongings and taking one of them to a wooden area before raping her. Hernandez-Espinal had been living in the U.S. illegally since 2013.

Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., took to Twitter to condemn the rape and the Biden administration for allowing Rivera-Zavala in the country.

“This is absolutely horrific and devastating—and a direct repercussion of Biden’s open-border policies,” Hagerty said Saturday, also adding, “The #BidenBorderCrisis has emboldened criminals and endangered Americans.”
