“You know what the Left does? Well, you’re a racist. My gosh, if you do anything like that you’re a racist,” Scott said in an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast, according to Just The News.
“If you do you have to ask somebody for their ID, you’re a racist, or if you don’t allow us to do same-day registration where you won’t know who’s voting, you must be a racist,” added Scott.
Scott was responding to an investigative report by Just The News that showed that the Department of Justice under President Joe Biden coordinated with groups like the NAACP, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the ACLU and the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, in the election in Georgia and are now seeking to hide that communication from the public.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger shared with Fox News communications between the DOJ and several civil rights organizations about a Georgia election laws.
The communications were heavily redacted—a practice that would only seek to protect information that was attorney–client privileged, which is an odd way to describe the relationship between the DOJ and civil-rights organizations.
“I believe that this case was politically motivated, and now we have proof,” Raffensperger told Fox News. about the redactions.
In the hundreds of emails that Raffensberger received through his Freedom of Information request with the DOJ, one described a conference call between several of these civil rights groups including the SPLC and Perkins Coie, the Democrat-friendly legal firm that is at the center of special council John Durham’s investigation into the Russia-collusion hoax.
“In effect though, the federal government is bringing its unlimited financial resources against the people of Georgia. That’s what’s going on here,” Raffensberger said. “And these liberal activist groups are piggybacking off these federal efforts here.”
In the meantime, Scott said that the states have to spend money in order to defend voter integrity.
“We’re defending lawsuits all over the country where these states have improved their election laws to make sure that your vote is never diluted,” Scott said, according to the Epoch Times.
Scott said that the Democrats are making sure that activities like ballot-harvesting and ballot drop boxes remain secret so that they can conceal fraudulent activities.
