Schiff Sought to Censor Reporter Who Helped Expose Fake ‘Whistleblower’

'This is a scurrilous smear, but par for the course for the unscrupulous Chairman Schiff... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) In the latest “Twitter Files” revelation, it has come to light that Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., requested that Twitter suspend accounts that reported information that he preferred to keep secret.

Per the latest report, Twitter had “received an astonishing variety of requests from officials asking for individuals they didn’t like to be banned,” revealing further Big Tech-Big Government collusion to suppress conservatives.

Specifically, Schiff tried to target Paul Sperry, a New York Post columnist who wrote a 2020 piece for RealClearInvestigations exposing a fake “whistleblower” used to justify the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump.

Sperry had noted that senior officials in the federal government had said that  “just days after [Trump] was sworn in they were already trying to get rid of him.”

One of those officials was former Obama crony, Sean Misko.

After Sperry’s revelation, Schiff fired off an email to Twitter, asking them to cover up the Misko story.

“Remove any and all content about Mr. Misko and other Committee staff from its service — to include quotes, retweets, and reactions to that content,” Schiff ordered.

For good measure, he also requested the removal of “the many accounts, including @GregRubini and @paulsperry_, which have repeatedly promoted false QAnon conspiracies and harassed.”

Schiff’s office generally asked that Twitter do everything in its power to “stop the spread of future misinformation on Twitter.”

But Twitter, even at that time, refused to be bullied entirely.

“No, this isn’t feasible/we don’t do that,” an unnamed Twitter employee responded.

In response, Sperry noted that he has never promoted QAnon, nor has he done anything worthy of being targeted for.

“I have never promoted any ‘QAnon conspiracies.’ Ever. Not on Twitter. Not anywhere.”

Sperry also noted that Schiff simply wanted revenge on him for revealing his false whisteblower.

“Schiff was just angry I outed his impeachment whistleblower and tried to get me banned,” he added. “This is a scurrilous smear, but par for the course for the unscrupulous Chairman Schiff.”
