Florida Sen. Rick Scott Issues Travel Advisory for Socialists

'Attempts to spread Socialism in north Florida will fail and be met with laughter and mockery. However, in much of Central and South Florida, the situation is far more dangerous...'

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., warned extreme leftists of all colors that attempts to travel to the Sunshine State could result in an array of triggers that may leave them traumatized with no safe space in which to seek refuge.

“Florida is openly hostile toward Socialists, Communists, and those that enable them,” said Scott, who preceded current Gov. Ron DeSantis as the state’s top executive, according to The Floridian.

“Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by Socialists and others who work in the Biden Administration,” Scott added.

The warning came in response to a series of performative decrees by left-wing activists, including the NAACP, which called on African–Americans to boycott the state due to is strong conservative bent.

The call quickly proved disingenuous as NAACP chair Derrick Johnson was exposed for having a residence of his own in Tampa.

Democrat strategist Aisha Mills , after declaring Florida to be a “terrorist state” during an MSNBC appearance, was revealed to have spent her spring break there.

Not to be outdone in the absurdity department, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton hopped aboard the Florida-bashing bandwagon by attempting to lump historically marginalized groups along side the multi-billion-dollar Disney corporation, which also has claimed victimhood at the hands of DeSantis.

Clinton was lampooned to the point of having to restrict comments on her tweet, Twitchy reported.

In his response, Scott pointed out that the state was happy to embrace with open arms individuals of any color or nationality so long as they supported the American values of freedom.

“Let me be clear—any attempts to spread the oppression and poverty that Socialism always brings will be rebuffed by the people of Florida,” he said.

In fact, Florida’s well known status as a safe harbor for those fleeing radical Marxist regimes might make it even more of a hazard for those seeking to import their toxic ideology, he noted.

“Travelers should be aware that attempts to spread Socialism in north Florida will fail and be met with laughter and mockery,” Scott said. “However, in much of Central and South Florida, the situation is far more dangerous for Socialists, as they may encounter people from Cuba, Venezuela, and other parts of Central and South America and the Caribbean who have direct knowledge of, and experience with, the horrors of Socialism.”

The statement came as DeSantis, who swept into re-election last year with a wave of popular support, announced his plan to run for president in the 2024 GOP primary.
