Retired Federal Agent May Have Known of Buffalo Shooting in Advance

'Six people received advanced notice of the Buffalo shooting, about 30 minutes before it happened...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Authorities have begun investigation into whether or not a federal retired agent had advanced warning about the man who shot and killed several people at a New York supermarket earlier this month, The Daily Wire reported.

The attacker, who killed 10 black people in a racially motivated attack at a Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, New York, seems to have contact with a retired agent.

The agent is believed to be one of only six people who had regular contact with the extremist in an online chat room.

“The two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation stated these individuals were invited by [the assailant] to read about his mass shooting plans and the target location about 30 minutes before [the assailant] killed 10 people at Tops Markets on Jefferson Avenue on May 14,” The Buffalo News reported.

“Agents from the FBI are in the process of tracking down and interviewing the six people, including the retired agent, and attempting to determine if any of them should be charged as accomplices.”

It is unknown whether or not the individuals who received the invitation read it before the attack took place.

“These were like-minded people who used this chat group to talk about their shared interests in racial hatred, replacement theory and hatred of anyone who is Jewish, a person of color or not of European ancestry,” said a law enforcement official.

“What is especially upsetting is that these six people received advanced notice of the Buffalo shooting, about 30 minutes before it happened.”

The official continued, clarifying that none of the recipients of the invite called law enforcement to warn them about the impending attack.

The investigation is ongoing. There has been no official statement from the government regarding this possibility.
