(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Avideh Moussavian, an acting administrator in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, advocated to “abolish” Immigration and Customs Enforcement and previously volunteered with an anti-ICE group before her tenure in federal government, according to an investigation from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Moussavian started at USCIS in March of 2022. Currently, she works as the chief of the Office of Policy and Strategy within the office, the Daily Caller reported Sunday.
Before joining the ranks of the Biden administration, Moussavian tweeted the “abolishICE” hashtag and accused the agency of “misleading the public and making our workplaces less safe.”

Between 2013 and 2022, she worked for the National Immigration Law Center—an advocacy group that fought for the cutting of funds to ICE and Customs and Border Protection.
Moussavian released a report with the Vera Institute highlighting the treatment of illegal immigrants and what legal representation they deserved when the U.S. government attempted to deport them.
“Ultimately, it is best to coordinate the fights to abolish immigration detention and to guarantee universal representation at the local, state, and national levels…” the report read. “Achieving these outcomes can help shape an immigration system that is grounded in values of fairness and human dignity. The shared goal is to end an unjust mass enforcement and incarceration system.”
Since her integration into the upper ranks of the Biden administration, Moussavian implemented parole programs for migrants from Ukraine, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
“I think it’s apparent from the top on down that this is an administration filled with appointees that do not believe in the rule of law, and they don’t really care about the American people,” said Rob Law, former USCIS policy chief for the Trump administration and current director of America First Policy Institute’s Center for Homeland Security & Immigration.
The Biden administration seems to be increasingly out of touch with American citizen’s desire to protect their culture and way of life by fighting the massive influx of illegal immigrants.
A survey from the Associated Press revealed that few adults think Congress, the Supreme Court, the president and both political parties care to uphold American values.
The situation at the country’s southern border continues to spiral out of control, with most recent estimates pointing to over 1.2 million illegal immigrants having crossed into the U.S.
