Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Husband Amicably Files for Divorce after 27 Years

'He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is being divorced by her estranged husband, Perry Greene, after 27 years of marriage, the Gateway Pundit reported.

According to Perry Greene, the separation has been the effective situation for some time now.

Per a report from the Business Insider, “he and the congresswoman had been in a ‘bona-fide state of separation’ before he filed the papers in Floyd County, Georgia.”

The filing claims that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.” Some media outlets have reported rumors of infidelity as the reason.

Perry Greene allegedly asked that the file for divorce be kept under seal because “the record will contain sensitive personal and financial information, the public disclosure of which would negatively impact the parties’ privacy interests.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene accepted the petition earlier this week.

The Greenes nevertheless attempted to make the divorce sound fine.

“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it,” Rep. Greene wrote in a statement.

“Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect,” she continued. “Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom.”

She also praised her husband for being a good father, despite the fact that he filed for a divorce.

“I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children.”

Perry Greene called Marjorie his “best friend for the last 29 years” and an “amazing mom.”

“Our family is our most important thing we have done,” he said. “As we go on different paths we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship.”
