(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) The lone holdout juror in the high-profile murder trial against Lindsay Clancy turned out to be a black man, a stunning revelation after the left spent days attacking the man for declining to join other jurors in finding her not criminally responsible by reason of insanity.
The racial background of the juror came to light on Friday, particularly during a CBS interview with Paula Devlin, another juror, when host Gayle King asked about the racial makeup of the jury.
Clancy was facing murder charges in Massachusetts in connection with the deaths of her three young children. A judge declared a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous decision.
Some on the political left, particularly white women, turned Clancy into a sort of folk hero despite the harrowing accusations, blaming the medical system and maternal health care for failing to address her postpartum psychosis.
Devlin told King that the 12-person jury was made up of one “person of color” and the rest were white individuals.
“Was the person of color a woman or a man?” King asked.
“A man,” the former Clancy juror replied.
“A man. Is the holdout juror a person, a black man?” King asked.
“Yes,” Devlin answered.
“A black man is the holdout juror?” King followed up.
“Yes,” Devlin said.
Seemingly taken aback by the revelation, King replied, “Well, I have to sit with that for just a second.”

The exchange quickly went viral on social media, with conservative commentators mocking the left for piling attacks on the juror, who turned out to be a black man.
“This is amazing,” wrote Daily Wire host Matt Walsh in response to the clip via X. “The Left has been trashing this guy all week only to find out that he was the only black person on the jury, getting hounded by bossy white women. Just perfect.”
Columnist Jason Whitlock echoed Walsh’s sentiments, adding: “I’m sorry for taking so much joy in this, but I can’t help it. This is AMAZING. I love it. Thank you, Jesus.”
With the trial ending in a mistrial, the question now turns to whether prosecutors will retry Clancy. Clancy is expected to return to court on Sept. 29.
