‘Princess Bride’ Actor Fails Battle of Wits over Pro-Hamas Virtue-Signaling

'This is very deliberate. I also don’t really believe in revenge, and that’s what this is...'

(Headline USA) Wallace Shawn, the actor best known for his portrayal of Vizzini in 1987’s The Princess Bride, joined pro-Hamas activists in Washington, D.C., this week to protest against “Israeli apartheid.”

Shawn has been a leading member of the leftist group Jewish Voice for Peace, which has blamed Israel for Hamas’s terrorist attack on Oct. 7.

When asked why he chose to blame the Jewish state of Israel, Shawn argued Israel was inflicting “one of the most deliberate cruelties … on a group of people” for having the audacity to retaliate against Hamas’s brutal slaughter of at least 1,300 innocent Israelis and kidnapping of some 200 more.

“Even in Vietnam, there was a whole elaborate explanation that people gave, and they didn’t quite admit they were just slaughtering the innocent,” Shawn claimed.

“This is very deliberate,” he added. “I also don’t really believe in revenge, and that’s what this is.”

Shawn is one of several leftists in the U.S. who have demanded that Israel not retaliate against the residents of the Gaza territory who are harboring the Hamas terrorists and their hostages.

Others include congressional “Squad” members, such as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y.; Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.

Bowman used the leftist Jewish group’s protest outside the White House this week as an excuse to justify his demands for a ceasefire.

The protest became rowdy after several protesters clashed with police officers outside the White House. Law enforcement ended up arresting more than a dozen protesters as a result.

“This afternoon, more than 30 individuals were arrested by the U.S. Secret Service’s Uniformed Division for Unlawful Entry or Incommoding after crossing safety barriers or blocking entrances during a demonstration at the White House complex,” said Secret Service spokesperson Steve Kopek.

“There was no impact to White House security operations,” he added. “The individuals have been transported to the Metropolitan Police Department 2nd District for processing.”
