Priest Defends Catholic Faith Despite Leftist Outrage

'The Church teaching does not change. It was the same yesterday, today, and would be the very same tomorrow... '

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Despite the opposition from the leftist mob, an Irish priest still stands by the speech that he gave to his audience in a church, in which he criticized abortion, transgenderism and homosexuality.

Last weekend, Catholic priest Fr. Sean Sheehy delivered several sermons attacking the government and a push from Left-wing society and culture to accept “transgenderism,” abortion and homosexuality in Ireland, according to Breitbart. Sheehy described those acts as sinful.

As expected, unhinged leftists became angry about the homilies and demanded Sheehy to apologize and that he be banned from preaching.

However, even though his own local bishop sided with the fascistic leftists by describing the homily as “not appropriate” and something that does not represent the “Christian position,” Sheely stood by his preaching by telling Ireland’s state-owned broadcaster that his words are backed by the Bible and the doctrine of the Catholic Church.

“The Church teaching does not change. It was the same yesterday, today, and would be the very same tomorrow. And what the Church taught is based on the Scriptures and the scripture do not change,” Sheehy said.

Sheely insisted that he wasn’t challenging the authority of the local bishop in standing by his homily, but also said that even bishops must make sure they follow the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, instead of caving into the pressure from leftist activists.

“Of course, I accept the authority [of the bishop], but by the same token, when he says to me, that that’s not the Christian faith, then he needs to read the Catechism and he also needs to read the Scriptures as well,” he said and accused the bishop of sacrificing “the truth in order to appease people who do not want to face the reality of sin.”
