House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., claimed on Wednesday that the Republican Party has become a “cult,” and that it is no longer like the “strong Republican Party” that “our country needs.”
“One of my prayers is that the Republicans will take back their party,” Pelosi told MSNBC.
“The country needs a strong Republican Party. It’s done so much for our country, and to have it be hijacked as a cult at this time is really a sad thing for America.”

President Trump is a “rogue president” who has hijacked the GOP, she said, encouraging current Republicans to “intervene.” Under Trump, Republicans are giving “credence” to white supremacists, she claimed.
“What is this? What is this about the Republicans that they don’t care enough about what they believe in as a party—a legitimate party—with beliefs and their view of the role of government? I pray that they would get us a Grand Old Party again,” she said.
Pelosi clearly misses the Republican Party that caved to Democrats’ demands instead of putting up a fight.
Now, she has to resort to issuing baseless threats and insults. On Thursday, for example, she warned Trump that if the November election ends up in the House of Representatives in case of an impasse in the Electoral College, Democrats will not hesitate to give the election to Biden.
“We have all sorts of opportunities to take down that one vote,” Pelosi said during a news conference Thursday morning. “There ain’t no light at the end of the tunnel for you in the House of Representatives.”
