Ottawa Police Forcefully Arrest 78-yr-Old Great Grandfather for Honking

'He’s just 4-foot-10. He wouldn’t hurt anybody... '

(Gregg Pupecki, Headline USA) A 78-year-old great grandfather was arrested and handcuffed by Ottawa Police after honking his horn in support for a protesting trucker as part of the Freedom Convoy. The man said he was not a protester and was not looking for any trouble.

“I meant no harm,” Gerry Charlebois told the Toronto Sun. “I just gave the trucker a thumbs-up and a honk.”

“He’s just 4-foot-10,” said his son Steve. “He wouldn’t hurt anybody.”

After some discussion, police officers aggressively arrested Charlebois, while also threatening bystanders trying to intervene in the gestapo tactics.

The incident, caught on video, is disturbing to watch.

Charlebois, a retired high school janitor, said he was in shock that he was being singled out and arrested for just honking his horn. He explained that he was not part of the protest but just wanted to honk to show support to a passing trucker.

Charlebois said he supports the police, but was just confused by this whole incident.

During the arrest, he sustained visible injuries and told the Toronto Sun, “I’m so sore,” and that “It hurts so much.”

“I find it disgusting,” said his son. “There was no need to be so rough with him.”

After being forcefully taken into custody, he was released with a $118 noise-complaint ticket.

His son was equally perplexed and outraged by the whole incident. He said that if the streets of Ottawa were filled with fringe racists and illegal street activity everywhere, as being portrayed by local officials, why was his dad used as a scapegoat.

The incident happened shortly after Ottawa officials put the city in a state of emergency.  Officials made it illegal to honk your horn in support of the Freedom Convoy. The escalation from the city is the result of days of misinformation being spread by the corporate media.
