On Cusp of WWIII, Biden Continues Attack on Unvaxxed Navy SEALS

'There is no COVID-19 exception to the First Amendment even for the military... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) The Biden administration has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in its suit against Navy SEALs who sought religious exemptions to Defense Secretary’s Lloyd Austin’s August 2021 memo requiring all service members to get the COVID-19 jab, according to a report in Axios.

U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor on Jan. 3 issued a preliminary injunction granting the SEALs — who had sought a religious exemption from the vax requirement — request for a stay of the Defense Secretary‘s requirement, according to Axios

O’Connor, whose ruling was upheld on appeal to the U.S. District Court for the North District of Texas, described the Navy’s religious accommodation process as “theater” and held that “there is no COVID-19 exception to the First Amendment” even for the military.

In response, the Pentagon has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene so that it might sideline qualified members of the military, even as the country is potentially on the cusp of WWIII.

In the filing, solicitor general Elizabeth Prelogar asked the Supreme Court for a partial stay of O’Connor’s injunction, which, she said, “usurps the Navy’s authority to decide which servicemembers should be deployed to execute some of the military’s most sensitive and dangerous missions.”

The injunction “not only prohibits the Navy from applying the COVID-19 vaccination requirement to respondents, but also requires the Navy to assign and deploy them without regard to their lack of vaccinations notwithstanding military leaders’ judgment that doing so poses intolerable risks to safety and mission success,” Prelogar wrote.

The Supreme Court has asked the SEALs to respond to the filing by March 14, reported SCOTUSblog

The leftist media was quick to align itself with the Pentagon’s absurd demands.

At Vox, Ian Millhiser described O’Connor’s ruling as “egregiously wrong under current law” and hysterically claimed that his ruling was “already undermining US national security.”

Millhiser pointed out, however, that the Supreme Court has been an active propopent of COVID security theater.

“The Court has consistently rejected requests from religious objectors claiming that their faith entitles them to remain unvaccinated, despite a state or federal policy requiring vaccination,” he wrote.
