Trevor Noah Slams Report Gulf Countries Won’t Answer Joe Biden’s Calls

'You can say what you want, but this would have never happened to Donald Trump. Never...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Trevor Noah, host of “The Daily Show,” featured a monologue that took many by surprise, after reports that countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates refused to take phone calls from President Biden, The Daily Wire reported.

Biden, who had called to discuss potential oil deals, officially denied the report; however, Noah pointed out that whether or not the report is true, former President Donald Trump would not inspire this lack of confidence in geopolitical dealings.

He also made fun of Biden’s bedtime schedule.

Biden’s calls to the middle eastern countries were an attempt to offset gas prices after banning imports on Russian oil.

“You have got to be kidding me,” Noah said after a brief montage of news reports regarding the story. “Apparently, Saudi Arabia won’t even pick up the phone for the President of the United States.”

“I mean, look, I know it’s hard to arrange those calls. You know, Riyadh is eight hours ahead. Biden is asleep by 4:00 p.m.,” Noah said, making fun of “Sleepy Joe” and his sometimes light schedule. “It’s a narrow window to make it work, but still.”

In a White House press conference, Press Secretary Jen Psaki flat out denied this claim.

Nevertheless, the story gained traction and Noah ran with it:

Nonetheless, Noah said, “You can say what you want, but this would have never happened to Donald Trump. Never.”

“That’s why I bet in these situations, Biden actually wishes that he could hire Trump to step in as President Wild Card. You know?” he joked. “Just keep everyone on their toes. ‘Cause if Trump was calling, you best believe the UAE — they’ll be racing to pick up the phone.”
