Biden, Top Dems Unleash Vicious Attacks on SCOTUS; Use ‘Roe’ Leak to Campaign

'We have a Supreme Court that does not value the rights of women, and a political minority that will stop at nothing to take those rights away...'

(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) President Joe Biden was among those who weighed in on a Politico rumor concerning a leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health that would completely overturn the controversial Roe v. Wade decision.

Relative to other left-wing radicals, such as Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, the statement released under Biden’s name was relatively restrained.

He emphasized that the leak—which social media sites appeared to have bended their rule against publishing leaked material to allow—remained unconfirmed.

Some speculate that radical left-wing activists will plan to wage a pressure campaign to influence the court—the likes of which already was evident Tuesday morning with calls to impeach Justice Clarence Thomas and even attacks against Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia for his refusal to end the fillibuster.

Biden instead advocated that his pro-abortion constituents use the opportunity to elect more sympathetic Democrats in the November midterms, the Post Millenial reported.

“If the Court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose,” he wrote.

“And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November,” he added. “At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.”

Biden also promised that the Justice Department would continue to wage lawfare attacks on any red states that passed their own laws eliminating abortion.

“I directed my Gender Policy Council and White House Counsel’s Office to prepare options for an Administration response to the continued attack on abortion and reproductive rights, under a variety of possible outcomes in the cases pending before the Supreme Court,” he wrote. “We will be ready when any ruling is issued.”

It is unclear what impact such a decision may have in reviving despondent Democrats for what is widely believed to be an impending red-wave election.

However, the rumor conveniently began to spread just as several state primaries were underway, suggesting possible activist coordination in the leak.

Chief Justice John Roberts reportedly planned on asking the FBI to investigate.

Other Democrats also weighed in, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY.

While Pelosi attacked the high court itself, Schumer took the opportunity to turn it into a political attack on Republicans.

Several other far-left reactions were compiled by Headline Health:

  • “This decision is a direct assault on the dignity, rights, & lives of women, not to mention decades of settled law. It will kill and subjugate women even as a vast majority of Americans think abortion should be legal. What an utter disgrace.” Hillary Clinton
  • “What can you say? Life in this country will be noticeably different. There will be, every day, some story on some local news channel about somebody dying. I guarantee it.” Texas abortionist Alan Braid
  • “It’s important to remember the human tragedy of this, not just for those who will be forced into motherhood but for all of us who will not get to experience the fruits of female talent cultivated and female ambitions fulfilled. Forced birth is a needless waste of human potential…” – Guardian US gender and politics columnist Moira Donegan (Twitter)
  • “I think we’re going to be providing abortions until midnight on June 30 and then anyone who’s not done will have to go somewhere else,” said Zahedi, anticipating that the decision will come down at the end of June.” Tennessee abortionist Leilah Zahedi

Newsom Unleashes Vicious Attack on Supreme Court over ‘Roe’ Rumor

(California’s Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom reacted to a leaked draft opinion of a U.S. Supreme Court decision that, if finalized, would overturn decades of legal precedent regarding the protection of abortion in America.

Politico on Monday released a copy of a draft opinion in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health that the publication had obtained from the famously tight-lipped governmental body.

In the opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito, Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanagh and Amy Coney Barrett agree with the conservative stalwart that the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision was “egregiously wrong from the start” and must be overturned in its entirety.

“It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives,” the draft said.

Newsom responded to the leaked opinion, calling it an “appalling attack” on women’s rights.

“It will be the end of fundamental constitutional rights that American women have had for nearly 50 years,” Newsom said Monday.

“This is not an isolated incident, and it is not the end,” he claimed. “We have a Supreme Court that does not value the rights of women, and a political minority that will stop at nothing to take those rights away. This won’t stop with choice and the right to privacy.”

Justices may change their minds in the coming weeks before the opinion is released this summer. However, Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy would become law—as would similar statutes in other states that anticipated a favorable verdict from the court—if the preliminary vote tally is finalized.

Politico stressed the document’s authenticity, citing anonymous sources within the Supreme Court system that confirmed its authenticity.

A spokesperson for the court didn’t confirm Politico’s assertions as of Monday night.
