NC Police Arrest 17 Illegals on 70 Counts of Child Rape, Incest, Kidnapping

North Carolinians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement released its March 2021 “Monthly Child Sex Crimes by Illegal Aliens in NC” report and found that 17 illegal aliens were arrested and charged with 70 crimes, including rape, incest, kidnapping and sexual exploitation.

On March 5, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, with the help from state and federal authorities, arrested 45-year-old Albert Lopez, the head pastor at Iglesia Bautista Puerta Abierta Church in McLeansville, according to the county’s press release.

Authorities charged Lopez with five counts of second degree rape, five counts of second degree sex offense, and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Prosecutors and witnesses allege that Lopez raped multiple children over a 10-year period beginning in 2011.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caleb Lee Marrero, 20, on March 1 and charged him with six crimes, including three counts of felony statutory rape of a child younger than 15, and three counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child younger than 15, WBTV reported.

Marrero is being held on a $75,000 bond.

The Craven County Sheriff’s and Havelock City Police arrested Naheed Shams Ali, 39, on February 15, but NCFIRE only discovered his arrest this month.

Authorities charged Ali with eight felony counts of sex crimes against a child, including four felony counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and four felony counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, JDNews reported.

Ali is being held on a $200,000 bond at the Craven County Confinement Facility.

Rowan County authorities arrested Maynor Javier Yanes Basquez, 32, on March 15 and charged him with five crimes: kidnapping, statutory rape of a child between 13 and 15, two counts of first degree sexual offense of a child younger than 13, and third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Josue Samuel Alvarado–Pineda was arrested in Mecklenburg County on March 22.

Authorities charged him with nine crimes, including six counts of indecent liberties with a child and three counts of statutory sex offense with a child.
