NBC News Urges TikTok, Twitter to Censor Fetterman’s Slurred Speech

'I don’t care what you regime propagandists at NBC decide to write about to help your preferred candidate in the race, who is clearly unfit in every way to serve in the senate...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Following a disastrous speech by Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman at a recent campaign event, the establishment media at NBC demanded that TikTok censor all footage of the candidate’s slurring a stuttering, The Federalist reported.

Fetterman—currently challenging celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz to replace retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey—has notably dealt with multiple health issues since suffering a stroke last spring, raising questions about his fitness for public office.

The video in question was posted on Twitter by Greg Price, a senior digital strategist at the conservative consulting firm X Strategies, who selected footage of Fetterman’s worst moments in a speech at a women’s rally in Montgomery County, Pa.

“Can you describe uh.. the truth… uh… what’s happened,” Fetterman stuttered at one point. “So… I use, uh, example.”

Later in his speech he tried to call attention to the importance of the upcoming race, but stumbled through a sentence as if imitating President Joe Biden.

“Its such the most important race for the Senate here for ’22.”

In response to the video, NBC’s Benjamin Goggin wrote a scathing op-ed accusing Price of “doctoring” the footage.

“The videos include slight edits, such as cutting out the sound of the audience to make it appear as if he had abruptly stopped speaking,” Goggin claimed. “Other edits cut Fetterman off midsentence, to create the perception that what he was saying was nonsensical.”

Of course Goggin confused “doctoring” videos—changing the content with some type of editing software—with simply taking cuts of an otherwise unedited video.

Goggin continued to praise himself and NBC for flagging the videos, leading to them eventually being removed by the Beijing-based TikTok.

“TikTok removed the videos that NBC News flagged to it, citing its ‘integrity and authenticity’ policy, which includes rules about misinformation,” he wrote.

Price later responded to Goggin, calling him out for his fake news headline.

“I don’t care what you regime propagandists at NBC decide to write about to help your preferred candidate in the race, who is clearly unfit in every way to serve in the senate. You can print that. Have a nice day.”
