(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Entrepreneur Elon Musk tweeted that he was “giving serious thought to creating and launching a social media platform, The Daily Wire reported.
This platform would be transparent with its algorithm, prioritize free speech and will keep propaganda to a minimum.
Musk was prompted to this by a Twitter user asking if he would consider such a move:
“Would you consider building a new social media platform, @elonmusk?” the user asked.
“One that would consist an open source algorithm, one where free pseech and adhering to free speech is given top priority, one where propaganda is very minimal,” the tweet explained. “I think that kind of a platform is needed.”
Musk responded, “Am giving serious thought to this.”

Presumably in response to this quiery, Musk posted several Twitter polls asking whether or not people believed Twitter “rigorously adheres” to free speech and asking if a new platform was needed.
70.4% of 2 million respondents said they did not believe Twitter adhered to the principles of free speech.
Political commentator Mike Cernovich responded to Musk, encouraging him to buy Twitter.
“If you’re a leftist making death threats against conservatives, or organizing riots, Twitter respects your freedom of speech,” Cernovich said.
“Twitter also respects the freedom of speech for media hoaxes like when every major outlet framed an innocent Covington high school kid.”
“Doesn’t sound very balanced,” Musk replied.

Musk conducted another poll in which he asked if “Twitter’s algorithm should be open source,” to which 1.1 million people responded, with 82.7% saying “Yes.”
Nick Sandmann, also known as “the Covington kid,” also reached out to Musk, wanting to discuss this idea further.
