'Starlink service is now active in Ukraine...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Elon Musk, entrepreneur and billionaire, made SpaceX Starlink satellite broadband service available in Ukraine, The Daily Wire reported.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, tweeted to Elon Musk, requesting Starlink assistance.

“@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars—Russia try to occupy Ukraine!” the tweet reads. “While your rockets successfully land from space—Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.”

Musk responded swiftly, confirming the Starlink satellites were en route.

“Starlink service is now active in Ukraine,” Musk responded. “More terminals en route.”

Fedorov later responded: “Starlink terminals are coming to Ukraine! Thank you @elonmusk, thank you everyone, who supported Ukraine!”

The Ukrainian government tweeted: “Thanx, appreciate it.”

Starlink is a system of satellites in low orbit which provide high speed broadband internet.

People this using this system can make video calls, stream and do other high data rate activities.

“Starlink is ideally suited for areas where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable,” the Starlink company said. “People across the globe are using Starlink to gain access to education, health services and even communications support during natural disasters.”
