(Abdul–Rahman Oladimeji Bello, Headline USA) As Special Counsel John Durham’s report surfaced, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow immediately dismissed it, mocking Republicans who had anticipated its release.
Fox News reported that she is now under fire as critics expected her reaction, knowing it contradicts her long-time narrative peddling the debunked Russia-Trump collusion.
Fox News contributor Joe Concha said that the leftist host, along with other liberals who share her views, all suffer from a “lack of contrition gene” and failed miserably at their responsibilities to journalism.
“A lack of shame. Their egos and myopia simply won’t allow for it,” Concha said. “And she’ll never be held accountable by those who allegedly cover media. Because they’re in the same ideological boat that she’s in, and therefore she is almost never criticized by so-called media reporters who only exist to criticize any media right of center.”
As the report surfaced on a Monday, Maddow had an entire week to access the findings of this report as her show airs only on Mondays.
“The second thing we are keeping an eye on tonight is the reaction, particularly the reaction on the political right to the ‘long-awaited’ Durham report,” she said, downplaying the report’s findings.
“What? ‘The long awaited’ what? Well, the reason we’re watching for the Right and their reaction to this is because the Durham report is only really long awaited by them, and they really, really have been awaiting this report.”
Maddow further downplayed the report’s findings, mocking Republicans in the process. “Boy, they have been excited about this for a long time, literally for years former-President Trump and his allies have been invoking John Durham, or sometimes Bull Durham, as the man that would save them and smite all of Trump’s enemies,” she jested.
Ignoring all of Durham’s findings, the leftist host concluded, “In sum total, what John Durham got out of his investigation was a guilty plea out of an FBI lawyer, an FBI employee, who admitted he made a misrepresentation in a single email.”
The Durham report, in reality, has already led to calls for myriad investigations and prosecutions, and contained bombshell revelations about widespread collaboration between operatives for the Hillary Clinton for president campaign, the Democrat Party and the FBI, in efforts to sabotage former President Donald Trump.
