(Headline USA) Conservatives blasted MSNBC’s Ari Melber this week after he claimed Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter coudl be used to sway national elections.
“You could secretly ban one party’s candidate, or all of its candidates, all of its nominees, or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff and turn up the reach of something else and the rest of us might not even find out about it until after the elections,” Melber alleged, noting that Musk won’t “have to explain” himself because he is now the sole owner of Twitter.
Conservatives were quick to point out that Twitter did exactly this when it suspended the New York Post and banned circulation of a damning story about the Biden family right before the 2020 election:

Leftists have been panicking ever since Twitter revealed that it had reached a deal to sell the company to Musk, who has criticized the company for censoring free speech. Musk said it is his goal to make Twitter a neutral public platform.
