Mexican Pres. Boasts of Cheaper Gas, 2x Supply at WH Visit

'In the face of this crisis, the way out is not through conservatism... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) In remarks delivered alongside President Joe Biden during a bilateral meeting July 12, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador encouraged Americans to turn south of the border to solve their gasoline woes.

“While we’re waiting for prices of gasoline to go down in the United States . . . we have decided that it was necessary for us to allow Americans who live close to the borderline so that they could go and get their gasoline on the Mexican side at lower prices,” López Obrador said.

“And right now, a lot of the drivers — a lot of the Americans — are going to Mexico, to the Mexican border, to get their gasoline,” he added.

Lopez Obrador then offered to use “over 1,000 kilometers of gas pipelines” to generate electricity in the American Southwest.

If his remarks were intended as a rebuke of the Democrat policies that have exacerbated the fuel crisis, AMLO quickly made up for his impiety with a peculiar rant against American conservatives who oppose Biden’s open-borders policies.

“I know that your adversaries — the conservatives — are going to be screaming all over the place, even to Heaven,” Obrador said, as he encouraged Biden to move forward with his globalist, Big Government agenda. “They’re going to be yelling at Heaven.”

“In the face of this crisis, the way out is not through conservatism,” he continued. “The way out is through transformation.”

AMLO’s recommended “transformation” of the United States included a demand that Biden provide amnesty to the illegal aliens currently living in the country.

“It is indispensable for us to regularize and give certainty to migrants that have for years lived and worked in a very honest manner, and who are also contributing to the development of this great nation,” the Mexican president said.

López Obrador’s most egregious comment, however, came earlier in the day when he described Vice President Kamala Harris as “a woman with principles, an intelligent woman, honest.”

Neither politician made any mention of the role that Mexican drug cartels have played in coyoting migrants across the United States border, or indeed of the 50-plus migrants who died in the back of semi in San Antonio after arriving from Mexico.
