Mark Meadows Says He Would Bet All His Money That Trump Runs Again

'I was with him just two days ago and he said, "Mark, I can't imagine it could've gotten this bad this quickly..."'

Mark Meadows, the former chief of staff for former president Donald Trump, said he would be willing to bet “all his money” that Trump launches a 2024 presidential campaign.

“Literally, I was with him just two days ago and he said, ‘Mark, I can’t imagine it could’ve gotten this bad this quickly,'” Meadows said during a radio interview this week.

Trump can see that decisions need to be made regarding “supply chain inflation, let alone the Afghanistan problem,” Meadows said.

“If I were a betting man, Andrew, I would tell you to loan me all your money,” Meadows continued. “I would put all my money in, and I would bet that he’s running again. He’s in, and we will count on him running.”

Trump has hinted at another presidential campaign but has not officially announced it, ostensibly for reasons concerning campaign finance.

However, those close to him, including Meadows, have been subtly confirming Trump’s intentions to run again for months.

In June, Meadows said he was confident Trump would be on the ballot again.

“He’s not going to make any announcement in the next week or two. And certainly would be months before we know whether he is going to be running again,” Meadows said at the time.

But, “as a guy that has had a number of conversations with him, the odds are that I think this is not the last time that we’ll see Donald Trump’s name on the ballot,” he added.

Trump recently said he is confident he would win the Republican nomination again, even if other rising GOP stars, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, choose to run against him.

“If I faced him, I’d beat him like I would beat everyone else,” Trump said of DeSantis. “I don’t think I will face him. I think most people would drop out, I think he would drop out.”
