Mayorkas: Still No Findings on Bogus Claims of Immigrant-Whipping DHS Agents

'The DC Examiner spoke with DHS sources who said a final report on this incident may never be released to the public... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Department of Homeland Security director Alejandro Mayorkas promised last September that he would quickly conclude his investigation into the alleged whipping of immigrants by Border Patrol agents, but the investigation is still ongoing and the involved agents remain without jobs, Twitchy reported.

Soon after the event transpired, White House press secretary Jen Psaki asserted that such behavior among border agents was never acceptable, even though subsequent reporting showed the whipping claim to be false.

Border agents should never again use whips on migrants,” she said.

Later that day, Psaki claimed that the horseback-riding and whip-bearing agents were “horrific and horrible.”

“That’s not who the Biden and Harris administration is,” Psaki added.

Instead, the administration appears to be interested in holding employees accountable without trial.

“It has now been 6 months since DHS launched an investigation into false claims that horseback border agents in Del Rio ‘whipped’ Haitian migrants,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Secretary Mayorkas pledged it would be done in ‘days, not weeks.’ Still not done, and the involved agents remain off patrol duties,” he concluded.

Others noted that the elites and the mainstream media have conspired to remain mum on the matter until the public forgets about it altogether.

“In January… the DC Examiner spoke with DHS sources who said a final report on this incident may never be released to the public,” another wrote. “Two months later, it is certainly looking that way.”
