MAGA Republican Gets 9 Months Federal Prison for ‘Gesticulating’ at J6 Protest

Michetti admitted he went inside the U.S. Capitol, where he shouted 'we feed your family,' 'you are just taking orders' and 'we pay you' at officers... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Richard Michetti is one of the dangerous, insurrectionist MAGA Republicans that President Joe Biden has mendaciously vilified as a threat to the country and a hazard to democracy for their participation in the Jan. 6 protests.

The Biden junta on Sept. 6 sentenced Michetti to nine months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release, because during the Capitol protests he did a lot of yelling, got swept up in the melee and “gesticulated at the [police] officers and at one point briefly pinched the sleeve of one officer,” NBC News reported.

For that grievous offense, and because his ex-girlfriend ratted him out for calling her a “moron” who didn’t believe there was any 2020 election fraud, the Feds somehow convinced Michetti to plead guilty to a felony count of obstruction of an official proceeding.

When a gang of nine leftist clowns from the Stephen Colbert Show breached the Capitol earlier this year and banged aggressively on the office doors of Republican lawmakers, they were released without bail and never charged.

But they weren’t MAGA Republicans targeted by the Biden regime’s campaign of meting out political retribution and persecution under the guise of justice.

A judge sentenced Michetti to nine months. Federal prosecutors, following Biden’s directive to punish MAGA Republicans, wanted to lock-up Michette for 18 months in federal prison.

The Trump supporter was a threat, prosecutors said, because he had texted his former girlfriend that he was at the Capitol “because he believed the 2020 presidential election had been ‘rigged’ and ‘stolen.’”

The J6 scalp-hunting prosecutors said that Michetti “believed that certification of the 2020 presidential election was creating a ‘civil war’ and engaged with hundreds of others to jointly try and stop Congress from doing its Constitutional duty.”

Michetti “personally confronted police,” who twice doused him with a chemical irritant, “and encouraged other rioters who were assaulting officers in the Old Senate Chamber hallway,” prosecutors wrote.

As part of his guilty plea, Michetti admitted he went inside the U.S. Capitol, where he shouted “we feed your family,” “you are just taking orders” and “we pay you” at officers; that he “gesticulated at the officers and at one point briefly pinched the sleeve of one officer”; and that he told officers they were “starting a civil war,” reported NBC.

The MAGA Republican’s actions were so egregious that the Feds totally forgot about Michetti, until a disgruntled ex-girlfriend called the FBI and dropped a loaded dime on him.

Michetti’s attorney told the court that his client never intended to be part of any mob that stormed the Capitol, and that he went to the rally simply to demonstrate his “fervent belief that the country was moving in a horrible direction,” according to ABC News.

Before being sentenced, Michetti told the judge he was enrolled in anger management classes and regularly attended church.

“The person on display on Jan. 6 is not the same person your honor sees here today,” Michetti told the court.

It didn’t matter. The judge saw a MAGA Republican who President Biden had called a “threat to democracy” and who needed to be punished accordingly.
