Leftist Orgs Collaborate, Spend Over $500M to Bribe Local Media

'Press Forward seeks to reverse the dramatic decline in local news that has coincided with an increasingly divided America and weakening trust in institutions...'

(Dmytro “Henry” AleksandrovHeadline USA) A coalition of 22 leftist groups pledged more than $500 million to fund local media publications for five years to indoctrinate the population.

“Press Forward,” the new coalition, was comprised of many groups, all of which have a leftist bias that is based on their funding and initiatives, even though the coalition stated that it is “independent of ideology,” the Daily Caller reported.

The idea behind the creation of the coalition was to “reverse the dramatic decline in local news” and “close longstanding inequities in journalism coverage and practice,” the coalition said in its Thursday announcement.

The coalition said it also allocated $500 million to fund grants to support local newsrooms, provide resources to “diverse” publications and assist in developing collaborative tools such as legal support and membership programs.

The leading organization in the coalition is the MacArthur Foundation, which pledged $150 million in grants. As indicated in its grants database, the foundation frequently donated to left-wing organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Tides Foundation and Environmental Defense Fund in the past, InfluenceWatch reported.

Leftist titan Knight Foundation kicked in $150 million, and also gave $1.2 million to nine universities and nonprofits to “combat disinformation in communities of color” in 2022.

The remainder of the over $500 million was contributed by the other 20 groups, among which is Democracy Fund, an organization run by a leftist billionaire Pierre Omidyar.

Independent journalist Lee Fang uncovered in obtained tax records that Democracy Fund provided a $130,000 grant to the Center for Internet Security to fund a “portal” that was used to flag and censor social media content containing “misinformation” during the 2020 election.

Other organizations that belong to the coalition are the Ford Foundation, an organization that helped launch the Black Feminist Fund in 2021 with $15 million in seed funding, and the Archewell Foundation, which is run by leftist activists Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

“Press Forward seeks to reverse the dramatic decline in local news that has coincided with an increasingly divided America and weakening trust in institutions,” the coalition said.
