Leftist Media Blames Pro-Lifers for Diaper Shortage

'America is facing a diaper crisis, and the anti-abortion movement is making it worse... '

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the leftist mainstream media decided to attack pro-lifers once again, this time by claiming that they are the reason for a current diaper shortage.

On Oct. 9, Yahoo Finance tried to gaslight Americans by pretending that the reason why parents have a hard time buying diapers for their babies is not because of the supply chain crisis created by the Biden administration, but because of people who don’t want to kill babies in the womb, according to RedState.

In Yahoo Finance’s article titled “America is facing a diaper crisis, and the anti-abortion movement is making it worse,” the website stated that because of the efforts of the pro-life people, there are too many babies now, which caused the shortage of diapers.

“Many families across the U.S. lack access to supplies essential to their baby’s well-being, including clothing, food and diapers,” article reported.

“The coronavirus pandemic has played a heavy role in this crisis, and as households seek help from nonprofit organizations, anti-abortion centers may be misrepresenting the extent of their services.”

Even though the Yahoo! article acknowledged that one of the biggest anti-abortion centers helped a lot of people with baby supplies — like clothes, strollers and diapers — the author of the article dug desperately for an angle to find something bad about it.

Director of Equity Forward — a leftist organization and a project of the Hopewell Fund dedicated to killing babies — Ashley Underwood told Yahoo! Finance that anti-abortion centers just waste money when they could provide so-called “abortion care.”

“Instead of providing direct material support to people, they’re using this money for overhead costs to pay for staff salaries, to engage with SEO marketing professionals, to expand their outreach to promote themselves and all sorts of things that are not providing services to people in need,” she said.

“They solely exist to deter people from getting ‘abortion care.’”

In the end, the author of the RedState article came to a different conclusion.

“[The] overblown COVID pandemic, supply chain crisis and inflation — not right-to-life Americans — led to the diaper shortage, contrary to the narrative of the left-wing media, pro-abortion activists and the Democrat Party,” the author wrote.

“Blaming right-to-lifers for babies going without diapers and moms suffering higher stress levels, as a result, is not only insane. [It’s] the common fare of the left.”
