Leftist Go Beserk Over ‘60 Mins.’ Interview w/ Rep. MTG

'MTG is not a politician, she’s a domestic terrorist & Leslie Stahl is amplifying her... '

(Abdul–Rahman Oladimeji Bello, Headline USA) After Sunday’s broadcast of an interview featuring Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Left took to social media to condemn 60 Minutes host Lesley Stahl and CBS

The show’s preview on Twitter read, “Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, nicknamed MTG, isn’t afraid to share her opinions, no matter how intense and in-your-face they are. She sits down with Lesley Stahl this Sunday on 60 Minutes.”

Daily Wire reported that leftists expressed outrage at the interview, immediately blasting CBS for airing it.

Laura Helmuth, one of the angered leftists, tweeted, “Some of the most important decisions you make as an editor are about who and what NOT to cover.”

Bruce Bourgoine also took to Twitter to lament. “Wasteful of our time journalism malpractice. This should have been an April Fool but sadly is not,” he wrote. “Serious treatment of this individual by @60Minutes is not providing informative, insightful news or analysis but rather a platform for hate to build on.”

Television producer Jonathan Goldman also called the congresswoman names on Twitter as he blasted the 60 Minutes host. He wrote,  “Shame on 60 Minutes for normalizing the hateful bile that MRG (sic) spews.”

After condemning the interview and questioning the show’s credibility, @Mommamia1217 tweeted, “I certainly won’t be watching. Will you?”

Independent journalist Gleen Greenwald also pointed out that many critics only judged blindly as they all complained about an interview they did not watch.

He wrote, “The number of liberals vehemently condemning this interview they have not seen — based on their view that journalists should ignore everyone who isn’t a Democrat or at least a good Trump-hating Republican like Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney — reveals so much about their mindset.”

He further noted that it only makes sense for the host to interview MTG as an influential congress member.

“They want journalists to create a make-believe reality for them in which bad people and bad things don’t exist,” Greenwald said. “Don’t we learn when we’re 8 that this doesn’t work?”
