Leaked Pentagon Docs Show Biden Admin Has Been Spying on Zelenskyy

'An interagency effort has been stood up, focused on assessing the impact these photographed documents could have on U.S. national security and on our Allies and partners...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Highly sensitive Pentagon documents that were leaked in recent weeks revealed that the Biden administration has been spying on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy even while sending tens of billions of dollars to support Ukraine’s war effort.

U.S. officials feared that the leaks could jeopardize numerous foreign connections by exposing the degree to which the nation’s intelligence and military agencies spy on their ostensible allies, CNN reported.

The leaked documents included sensitive deals regarding American intelligence in Russia, along with knowledge of Ukrainian counteroffensive war strategies.

One of the 53-plus leaked documents revealed that the U.S. has been spying on Zelenskyy in particular.

A source close to Zelenskyy told CNN that the Ukraine leader found the news unsurprising, yet disappointing—even though he has misled the U.S. in the past as he continually begs for more money and support.

Specifically, the report showed that Zelenskyy wished to launch missiles at a “Russian deployment locations in Russia’s Rostov Oblast” using drones since Ukraine does not have the firepower to launch missiles with such range.

Zelenskyy’s plans were intercepted by U.S.”signals intelligence,” defined by the National Security Agency as “intelligence derived from electronic signals and systems used by foreign targets, such as communications systems, radars, and weapons systems.”

According to Defense Department deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon is currently assessing the importance of the leaked documents and is preparing to address the crisis.

“The Department of Defense continues to review and assess the validity of the photographed documents that are circulating on social media sites and that appear to contain sensitive and highly classified material,” Singh wrote in a statement.

“An interagency effort has been stood up, focused on assessing the impact these photographed documents could have on U.S. national security and on our Allies and partners,” she added.

Singh assured the media that the Pentagon has informed the “relevant congressional committees” as well.
