Latino Teen Labeled ‘White’ After Fatally Mowing Down Retired Cop on Bike

'Those crime stats aren't going to cook themselves...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Jesus Ayala, a Latino teen currently facing charges related to his alleged role in the brutal killing of a retired police officer, Andreas Probst, has been classified as “white” by local law enforcement, igniting fierce criticism on social media.

Headline USA reviewed inmate records obtained from the Clark County Jail in Nevada, confirming that Ayala, who drove his vehicle into Probst, was labeled as “white” in official documents.

The gut-wrenching incident, captured on video by Ayala’s 16-year-old friend, Jzamir Keys, showed the brutal and deadly collision with Probst, who was peacefully riding his bike in a Nevada neighborhood.

“Ready?” one of the alleged perpetrators can be heard asking. “Yeah, hit his ass,” another responded before carrying out the harrowing act.

Both Ayala and Keys now face charges of murder with a deadly weapon, battery and attempted murder, the New York Post reported.

The controversial classification of Ayala as “white” has triggered a wave of concerns from conservative voices, with some accusing law enforcement of manipulating racial crime statistics.

Twitter account “End Wokeness” first pointed out the racial classification. “Jesus Ayala is a Latino teen who drove into and killed retired cop Andreas Probst,” the account said. “He was booked into the system as white.”

Political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek echoed the remarks, saying, “And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you manipulate racial crime statistics. Unbelievable.” Blaze podcast host Auron MacIntyre chimed in, adding, “Those crime stats aren’t going to cook themselves.”

This would not mark the first time racial classification has come under scrutiny. The U.S. Census Bureau has recently sought to add new ethnic categories for Arabs, Middle Easterners and Hispanics, who are currently classified as white for federal purposes. However, the Census’s proposal was mired by allegations of fueling the leftist idea of identity politics for political gain.

During his arrest, Ayala displayed a defiant attitude. “You think this juvenile [expletive] is gonna do some [expletive]? I’ll be out in 30 days, I’ll bet you,” he reportedly told police officials during his arrest. “It’s just ah, [expletive] ah, hit-and-run — slap on the wrist.”

Ayala’s mother expressed despair in an interview with KLAS. “I don’t know why he did this. I don’t know if God can forgive this.”
