Kamala Heads to Texas For Dem Fundraiser, Won’t Visit Border

'It is unbelievable that this administration has the gall to face the people of Texas who they have abandoned and ask for money... '

(Headline USA) Vice President Kamala Harris plans to visit Texas this week for a Democrat fundraiser, but doesn’t plan to stop by the southern border while she is there, as chaos unfolds on a daily basis from the Biden administration’s failed immigration policies.

Harris is set to headline a Texas Democrat Party fundraiser in Austin on Saturday to boost candidates like Beto O’Rourke, who is running for governor, according to the New York Post. Texas GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales, whose district includes the Del Rio Sector, said he has not been made aware of any possible visits by Harris to his district, even though she has been tasked with managing the border crisis by the White House.

“In a few days Vice President Harris is going to visit Texas, but she’s going to Austin to fundraise,” he said.

“I don’t understand why the Vice President just won’t take an hour plane ride to the border and just listen, talk to people, just show up and say, ‘Hey, we are here to help.’ Just say, ‘The administration hasn’t abandoned you’ … something!”

A Texas Democrat confirmed that Harris’s team has not mentioned any plans to visit the border.

Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, argued Harris’s refusal to witness the border crisis in person is a reflection of how little the Biden administration cares about it.

“The only place ‘Border Czar’ VP Kamala Harris should be visiting in Texas is the disaster-area formerly known as the US-Mexico border,” he said.

“It is unbelievable that this administration has the gall to face the people of Texas who they have abandoned and ask for money.”

Harris was put in charge of border issues by President Joe Biden in March of last year, but has kept silent on most of the raging immigration debates. She even failed to acknowledge the migrants who were dropped outside her residence in Washington, D.C. by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

Harris and Biden have both been blasted repeatedly for refusing to visit the border. Just last week, Harris came under fire for traveling to the Korean border instead of the U.S. southern border.

“@KamalaHarris will travel anywhere in the world but our US southern border that is under invasion every day by thousands of unknown people & deadly poisonous fentanyl. Here she goes to South Korea & Japan, 2 countries that would never allow the same,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., tweeted.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, agreed, accusing the Biden administration of taking an “America Last” approach.
