(Robert Jonathan, Headline USA) Gaslighting efforts to brand legitimate criticism of billionaire far-left oligarch George Soros as anti-Semitic have hit a major snag with the launch of a group called Jews Against Soros.
There is nothing antisemitic about opposing George Soros.
Today, we (@willscharf and @josh_hammer) are launching Jews Against Soros, a new grassroots coalition of Jews who oppose George Soros’s radical left-wing agenda.

The new avowed grassroots coalition was founded by two lawyers, Newsweek senior editor Josh Hammer and former federal prosecutor Will Scharf, who is running for attorney general in Missouri.
“We are Jews who have had enough of George Soros and his malign, leftist influence on American politics,” their website explained.
“We are Jews who are also sick and tired of the left accusing anyone who criticizes Soros of being antisemitic,” it added. “… There is nothing antisemitic about condemning George Soros.”
Soros-funded entities such as the Open Society Foundations have spent lavishly on initiatives to destabilize the West. Among those efforts are advocating for open borders and mass illegal immigration in Europe, and bankrolling the political campaigns of soft-on-crime, Democrat prosecutors in the U.S.
According to the Jews Against Soros website, which referenced a Washington Post article, “Soros directly spent $128.5 million in the 2022 midterm elections, making him the largest political donor in America.”
The total of those donations that went to the GOP was zero, as confirmed by the OpenSecrets website.
Although Soros is now 92, his son Alex, who chairs the Open Society Foundations network, is reportedly a frequent visitor to the Biden White House.
False allegations of anti-Semitism lodged against Soros’s many critics here and abroad—who include Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orban—ring particularly hollow in that the progressive movement itself has become increasingly anti-Semitic, using anti-Israel activism as a proxy for bigotry.
“Soros has funded numerous groups that oppose Israel, that fight against the American–Israeli alliance and that have spread antisemitic lies about the state of Israel,” Hammer and Scharf noted.
In a press release, the conservative duo explained: “Attacking Soros for his influence on American politics, to say nothing of his nefarious agenda for Israel itself, isn’t antisemitic. It’s simply a fact that Soros funds a huge proportion of the radical left in this country. And he must be stopped.”
Twitter boss Elon Musk, who describes himself as a pro-Semite, recently opined that Soros “wants to erode the very fabric of civilization” and that he “hates humanity.”
Ironically, an activist organization widely cited by corporate media outlets to support the claim that criticism of George Soros is anti-Semitic was recently exposed to have been reportedly funded by Soros himself.
Headline USA reached out to Jews Against Soros for comment about the organization and its plans going forward. Check back for updates.
