‘I’ll Kick Your Ass’: McCarthy and Swalwell Rumble in Explosive House Showdown

'Call me a pussy again, and I'll kick your ass...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Congressional leaders, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., found themselves at the center of an explosive confrontation following Swalwell’s fury over the GOP-led censure against Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

The confrontation, which occurred during a contentious vote on the censorship of Schiff, reportedly reached a boiling point, leaving witnesses astounded by the intensity of the exchange, according to the Daily Beast.

Eyewitnesses recounted that Swalwell appeared visibly agitated and directly confronted McCarthy during the heated vote.

During the House floor session, Swalwell allegedly launched a vicious personal attack on the GOP leader, berating him with strong words, “This is pathetic. You’re weak. You’re a weak man.” While McCarthy reportedly remained silent in response to Swalwell’s insults, the tension escalated further the next day during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.

According to the Daily Beast, as Modi was on the verge of delivering a joint address to Congress, McCarthy confronted Swalwell and issued a menacing threat, “If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the shit out of you.”

Eyewitnesses observed the two lawmakers in close proximity, with Swalwell daringly questioning whether they were ready to take their altercation to another level, “Are we really gonna do this?”

The feud between Swalwell and McCarthy took an even more aggressive turn when McCarthy warned Swalwell, “Call me a pussy again, and I’ll kick your ass.” Swalwell responded with a taunt, repeating the provocative term, “You. Are. A. Pussy.”

Witnesses noted McCarthy’s apparent lack of reaction, though the Daily Beast reported that he was visibly upset, with “a vein popping out of his forehead.”

As per the outlet’s reporting, the escalating tension between the two lawmakers may have roots in McCarthy’s scrutiny of Swalwell’s alleged intimate relationship with a suspected Chinese spy. This scrutiny eventually led to Swalwell’s removal, along with Schiff, from the House Intelligence Committee.
